Vincent Proce worked for Midway and was pitching an idea for a re-imagined Mortal Kombat game last year, "mixing modern muti-player and dismemberment game design with the original fighting mechanic." Unfortunately, the idea didn't take off and he ended up leaving the company. However, he has released the concept images he finished and they look AMAZING. Check out three more after the jump.

I think these look really awesome, and it's a shame that there aren't more and the game wasn't made! However, with these things floating around, you never know if something might change if the developers see that there's interest.
